Due to staffing changes, I had accrued some HR functions with my position, and I had never done anything in the HR field before. I was all good with the paperwork, payroll, onboarding, compliance, and training but having been in at the company for 2 plus years before the changes, I had relationships with staff that did not lend me the ability or willingness to investigate complaints, moderate conflicts or provide clinical evaluations of work product and suggesting remediation or plans for improvement. Not to mention, I had no training at all in Human Resources management. Fortunately, our CEO and the board of directors approved hiring HR Branches as our HR liaison.
